The BSU Alumni building is a $12 million, four story, 40,105 square foot facility that Jordan-Wilcomb was asked to be part of back in 2008. The major donors for the project requested that Jordan-Wilcomb be the construction manager for this project. Since that time, J-W has worked closely with the architect and owners to develop the building that was completed in the fall of 2016. The pre-construction phase was a crucial step in the success of this project. During that phase, the design team presented multiple building models, floor plans and finish schedules that Jordan-Wilcomb would then analyze and provide feedback as to the best way to achieve the goals of the building. In addition to office spaces, the building boasts extravagant meeting spaces and banquet halls wrapped with cherry wood finishes. The Ballroom can be divided into multiple areas for meetings and events. The Ballroom and Living Room have motorized blinds, preset lighting systems and automated projector screens and projectors. Throughout the building, audio/visual systems are integrated with large screen TVs, interactive touch screen T.Vs, and Board Room interactive a/v systems. The first floor has a large warming kitchen to handle events for several hundred persons. Detailed accounting of all work performed was required by BSU, the BSU Foundation, the Alumni Foundation, and lenders involved.
